Nordea Bank Museum

The Nordea Bank Museum is a financial museum housed in a historic building in downtown Helsinki. The structure itself dates from the late 1800s and once functioned as a working bank, with original furniture and decorative details still visible throughout the rooms.

The building was designed in 1898 by a notable Finnish architect and decorated by a renowned sculptor with exterior relief carvings. It operated as an active bank branch for several decades before its use changed.

The museum displays items that show how banking shaped everyday life for ordinary people in Finland. The objects on view, from old account records to rare banknotes, reveal how communities once handled money and trusted financial institutions.
