La Ferté-Vidame

Located in northern France, La Ferté-Vidame extends over 40 square kilometers of forests and ponds at an elevation of 246 meters above sea level.

The Château de la Ferté-Vidame underwent major reconstruction in 1771 by architect Antoine Matthieu Le Carpentier before passing to Louis-Philippe I after the Bourbon Restoration.

The Chapelle de Réveillon contains preserved medieval wall paintings that demonstrate artistic techniques and religious themes from the 12th and 15th centuries.

The town hall at 18 rue de Laborde handles administrative procedures for the 766 residents, including civil status requests for births, marriages, and deaths.

In 2019, the town hosted a celebration of Citroën's centenary, gathering 8,000 cars and drawing 100,000 visitors to this small French community.
