Chapelle Saint-Vincent de Saint-Laurent-d'Agny

The Saint-Vincent Chapel is a Romanesque chapel set on a hilltop at about 480 meters elevation. The building features a rectangular nave with barrel vaults and a square bell tower.

The chapel is documented in historical records from the 10th century and suffered damage in 1364. Restoration work followed under papal orders in 1365.

The chapel holds statues from different eras, including a 15th-century representation of the Virgin Mary and a Saint Vincent figure from the early 1600s. These works of art show how the place has served as a site of devotion across centuries.

The chapel can be reached by walking approximately 9 kilometers from the marked parking area. Access is on foot along a rural path, so visitors should wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for the walk.

The site contains evidence of ancient worship through standing stones and carved rocks that predate the current chapel. These archaeological traces suggest the location held spiritual importance long before the religious building was constructed.
