Our Lady of the Snows

Our Lady of the Snows is a Trappist monastery set within forests and valleys in the Ardèche region of south-central France at elevated terrain. The grounds include various buildings, workspaces, and agricultural areas that the resident community tends and maintains.

The monastery was founded in 1850 by monks from Aiguebelle Abbey who established this new community. After a major fire in 1912, it was extensively rebuilt and restored.
