Bastide de Tour Sainte

Bastide de Tour Sainte is a historic country estate featuring clean architectural lines and a porch, situated within a park setting that includes a central water feature. The main building contains two halls with a combined capacity of 350 people and now operates as an event venue.

Amédée Armand, president of the Marseille Chamber of Commerce and founder of mining operations in Gardanne, established this estate in the 1850s. The property was preserved as an architectural testament to wealthy Marseille citizens during the industrial era.

This structure embodies an important work of landscape composition and stands as a key element of Marseille's bastide architectural heritage. It reflects how wealthy merchants of the 1800s favored elegant country estates near the city.

After renovations in 2017, the ground floor rooms form an enfilade pattern, creating a continuous flow of spaces filled with natural light. This design allows visitors to see through multiple rooms at once while walking through the building.
