Château Cany, Historic château in Cany-Barville, France.

Château Cany is a red brick residence in Cany-Barville designed as a showcase of Louis XIII architecture. The structure features a central block connected to two pavilions, displaying the classical proportions and decorative details typical of its period.

The château was designed by François Mansart between 1640 and 1646 for landowner Pierre Le Marinier. This creation marks an important moment in French architectural development during the classical period.

The interior displays Flemish tapestries from the 15th century showing religious and mythological scenes. These textiles reflect the collecting passion of past inhabitants and create a sense of historical refinement throughout the rooms.

Access to the château is provided through guided tours during the summer season. Visitors should confirm opening times in advance, as these vary by period.

The residence retains its original furnishings from the time of its construction. This preservation allows visitors to experience a direct connection to how inhabitants lived during the early modern period.
