Château de Pennautier is a castle near Carcassonne with two grand wings designed by Le Vau. The French gardens spread across the grounds, and vineyards surround the main building.
The castle was built in 1620 by Bernard Reich de Pennautier, the Treasurer of Languedoc. King Louis XIII visited the estate in 1622 and left behind a collection of furnishings.
