Château d'Écoublay, Castle in Fontenay-Trésigny, France.

The white stone castle exhibits a balanced facade with large windows and a central entrance, surrounded by extensive gardens and wooded grounds.

Built in the 17th century and expanded in the 19th century, the castle belonged to the Courtenay family before passing to the Montceaux lineage.

From 1951 to 2000, Italian Scalabrinian monks inhabited the castle, transforming it into a center for religious seminars and international exchanges.

The castle, located at coordinates 48.6803°N and 2.84°E, now functions as a corporate seminar and meeting venue since the year 2000.

The rear wing was constructed specifically to house a monumental painting by Eugène Delacroix, titled 'The Death of Sardanapalus'.
