Château du duc d'Épernon, Renaissance château in Fontenay-Trésigny, France.

The château features a quadrangular layout with round towers at its corners, positioned alongside the Bréon stream next to Saint-Martin Church.

Built at the start of the 17th century by Jean de Nogaret de La Valette, the château replaced a medieval castle that served as a toll collection point.

The château received visits from King Charles IX and Cardinal Richelieu, marking its role as a significant meeting place for French nobility.

The property remains closed to visitors while Histoire et Patrimoine company develops stabilization plans following its acquisition in February 2022.

The French gardens, once fed by channels from the Bréon stream, included wide avenues extending from the old walled town through structured gardens.
