Château des Bourines, Medieval castle in Bertholène, France.

The Château des Bourines features a rectangular keep with four corner towers and a courtyard surrounded by fortified walls and adjacent living quarters.

The castle originated in the 13th century as a monastic granary for the Hospital of Aubrac and underwent fortification during the Hundred Years War.

The castle chapel from the 15th century contains original vaulted ceilings, while a stone cross from 1579 stands at the northern facade.

The castle offers guided tours from July 16, 2024, with entrance fees of 5 euros per adult, accepting cash and check payments.

The castle served as a filming location for two French movies: Malevil in 1981 and Fanfan la Tulipe in 2003.
