Bruniquel Cave, Prehistoric cave in Bruniquel, France.

The cave features circular structures made from 400 pieces of stalagmites, positioned 336 meters from the entrance in complete darkness.

Scientific studies in 2016 confirmed the structures date back 176,500 years, establishing them as the oldest known human-made formations on Earth.

The presence of organized stone arrangements and fire traces indicates advanced capabilities of Neanderthal societies long before modern humans existed.

The castles of Bruniquel present exhibitions about the cave findings, offering guided tours and educational activities about prehistoric life.

The cave contains two main circular formations measuring 6.7 by 4.5 meters and 2.2 by 2.1 meters, constructed using 2.2 tons of stalagmites.
