Les Horizons, Residential high-rise building in Bourg-l'Évesque, France

Les Horizons consists of two connected towers reaching heights of 96 and 95 meters, featuring prefabricated concrete facades and fourteen supporting columns.

The structure, completed in 1970 by architect Georges Maillols, represents one of the first residential high-rise buildings constructed in France after World War II.

Czech writer Milan Kundera lived in one of the 480 apartments between 1975 and 1979, during which he wrote several notable literary works.

The building contains six elevators serving 35 floors, accommodating approximately 1,000 residents primarily in two-room apartments designed for young couples and students.

The construction utilized innovative prefabrication techniques that enabled completing one floor per week, finishing three years before Paris's Tour Montparnasse.
