Musée départemental des antiquités

The Musée départemental des antiquités is an archaeological museum displaying regional artifacts alongside works from other cultures. The collections feature glasswork, sculptures, ceramics, and furniture from the Bronze Age through the Renaissance period.

Founded in 1831, the museum is housed in a former convent built between 1680 and 1691. The building received historical monument status in 1862.

The collections feature Egyptian antiquities, Greek objects, and Tunisian artifacts acquired through donations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. These pieces from different cultures create a cross-cultural view of ancient societies.
