Manoir de Champdoiseau

Manoir de Champdoiseau is a 15th-century manor house in Les Trois-Moutiers built with a four-sided layout, a round tower at the southwest corner, and a hexagonal staircase tower. These towers and the internal design connect different floors and create a structured space that was both functional and visually interesting.

The original residence of the Odart family from the 12th century was completely rebuilt in the 15th century. The new building included defensive features such as a moat and drawbridge to protect the property.

Several noble families lived here over the centuries and left their mark on how the building developed. You can see how different owners shaped the rooms and details according to their own taste and needs.

The manor is open for visits during summer months with three guest rooms available for overnight stays. The grounds and rooms are accessible and easy to explore at your own pace.

The property sits at a strategic location between Chinon and Loudun where two major medieval trade routes met. This position made it an important point in the Loire Valley landscape during medieval times.
