Musée du feutre

The museum contains detailed displays of wool processing machinery, traditional felt-making tools, and industrial equipment used throughout different production periods.

The museum opened in 1988 following the closure of one of France's last felt factories, preserving the industrial heritage of Mouzon's textile industry.

The collection includes Turkish artifacts related to manual felting techniques, obtained through ethnographic research and highlighting international felt-making traditions.

The museum operates from April through October, offering guided tours, felt-making workshops, and educational programs for visitors of all ages.

The facility maintains an active workshop in the former abbey stables where visitors can create their own felt carpets using traditional methods.
