Musée du pain d'épice de Gertwiller

The museum showcases over 10,000 artifacts across 350 square meters, displaying traditional gingerbread-making tools, molds, and regional confectionery items from Alsace.

Located in an 18th-century tithe barn, the museum houses Michel Habsiger's collection, gathered over 50 years, including antique wooden kneading troughs and mixing benches.

The collection features 700 glazed terracotta molds for traditional Alsatian kugelhopf cakes, along with molds shaped as paschal lambs, hearts, and grapes.

The museum charges 4 euros for adults and 2 euros for children aged 5-13, with guided tours available for groups up to 50 people.

A complete 18th-century Alsatian stube, rescued from demolition in a neighboring village, displays period furniture and Strasbourg Hannong dynasty faience.
