Le phare d'Alistro

Le phare d'Alistro is a lighthouse featuring an octagonal stone tower attached to a brick building that once housed the keepers. The structure sits on elevated ground and combines the distinctive tower with attached residential quarters in brick and stone.

The lighthouse was built in 1864 as a maritime aid with a first-order fixed white light and underwent electrical modernization in 1964. Wartime damage to the dome occurred during German military operations in 1943, with repairs completed in 1945.
