Temple Saint Martial, Protestant church in central Avignon, France.

The Temple Saint Martial stands at the intersection of Rue des Lices and Rue de la République, featuring medieval architectural elements and traditional religious design.

Built in 1346 as Queen Jeanne's palace, the structure transformed into a Cluniac establishment before becoming a Protestant temple in 1881.

The building serves the Protestant United Church of France, offering regular worship services and concerts that bring together the local religious community.

The church contains an organ crafted by Pascal Quoirin in 1984 and maintains regular opening hours for visitors interested in its architectural features.

The structure previously housed a natural history museum where entomologist Jean-Henri Fabre conducted chemistry classes alongside poet Stéphane Mallarmé.
