Théâtre de l'Est parisien

Théâtre de l'Est Parisien is a theater located at 159 Avenue Gambetta in the 20th arrondissement, featuring a main hall that seats around 300 people. The venue provides an intimate space for performances in this residential district of eastern Paris.

The building began as a cinema called Zenith in 1911 and was acquired by the French Ministry of Culture in 1963. This change transformed it into a theater for contemporary and classical productions in eastern Paris.

The theater presented numerous French contemporary works and classical plays until 2011, when it changed direction to become Le Tarmac.

The theater is accessible via metro line 3B at Saint-Fargeau station, with several bus routes nearby. The location sits in a quiet residential area that is easy to navigate on foot.

From 2004 to 2011, the venue hosted an annual festival called 1.2.3 théâtre that presented multiple theatrical productions back to back. This program made it a gathering place for theater enthusiasts in the area.
