Église Saint-Patrice de Bayeux, Romanesque church in Bayeux, France

Église Saint-Patrice is a Romanesque church in Bayeux featuring a Renaissance bell tower with six levels decorated in classical style and constructed with thick stone walls. The tower rises prominently above the surrounding streets and creates a distinctive landmark in the town's layout.

The original Romanesque structure dates to the 12th century and underwent preservation efforts over the centuries. It received its official protection as a classified historical monument in 1923.

The stained glass windows here show scenes from the Bible and the life of Saint Patrick, with the north side depicting sacraments while the south side illustrates key moments from his story.

The church welcomes visitors during opening hours and hosts regular services throughout the week. The entrance is situated at the intersection of Rue Montfiquet and Rue d'Éterville, making it easy to locate from the surrounding streets.

Inside the baptistery at the base of the bell tower sits a 17th-century marble fountain that once served as the traditional baptism location for the parish. This ornamental basin remains a distinctive feature visitors can observe today.
