Château de Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse

The Château de Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse is a medieval fortress positioned on elevated ground with two main towers and two smaller bartizans. The structure combines stone walls with different sections added over time, creating layers of construction from various periods.

The fortress began as a wooden tower in the 10th century and was rebuilt in stone during the 12th century. It later evolved into a residential château, with modifications continuing into the 19th century.
