Château des Arcs

Château des Arcs is a residential castle in Cachan featuring Renaissance-style architecture from the 16th century. Its northern facade displays three projecting sections characteristic of the period.

The castle was built in the 16th century by Claude d'Aligre, a treasurer in King Francis I's court. Its construction incorporated remnants of an ancient Roman aqueduct into the building's structure.

The castle now serves as a music conservatory and provides music education to the local community. This cultural use gives the historic building an active role in people's daily lives.
