Hôtel Reifenberg, Private mansion in 16th arrondissement, France.
The Hôtel Reifenberg spans 28 meters in length and features a geometric facade with horizontal lines and a prominent vertical staircase visible from outside.
Built between 1925 and 1927 for Madame Reifenberg, widow of industrialist Hugo Reifenberg, this residence was the first of five private houses on rue Mallet-Stevens.
The Art Deco stained glass window by Louis Barillet and Jacques Le Chevallier illuminates the staircase, while Jean Prouvé designed the entrance gate.
The interior layout places garages, kitchen, and staff rooms on the ground floor, reception areas on the first floor, and children's rooms on upper levels.
The building incorporates successive setbacks that create terraces, forming a parallelepiped structure with vertical blade chimneys contributing to its dynamic appearance.
