Musée d'archéologie de Feurs

The Archaeological Museum of Feurs is housed in an 18th-century mansion that displays artifacts from the Loire region. The collections span from ancient to more recent periods, offering insight into the area's long history.

The museum was founded in 1930 following archaeological excavations at the ancient Forum Segusiavorum site. These findings revealed much about the Segusiaves, a Celtic people who once inhabited this area.

The second floor displays works by landscape painter Charles Beauverie, showing how his art connected to the region. This exhibition reveals the relationship between local creativity and the area's identity.

The museum is located in the town center and easy to reach on foot, with nearby parking for visitors. The exhibits are spread across multiple floors, so plan time to explore at your own pace.

Since 2022, the museum operates Micro-Folie, a digital installation that projects artworks onto walls and offers interactive games. This technology lets visitors engage with the collections in a completely new way.
