Église Stella-Matutina de Saint-Cloud, Modern Catholic church in Saint-Cloud, France.
Stella-Matutina church is a modern worship space with a five-pointed star design and copper roof supported by nine wooden beams. The structure rises to about 33 meters tall and its polyhedron shape creates varied natural light patterns throughout the interior.
Construction began in 1962 after Canon Henri Collin and Bishop Alexandre Renard recognized the need for a worship place in the Montretout area. The project emerged from a desire to create a contemporary sacred building that expressed faith through modern architectural design.
The interior contains stained glass windows by Blanchet and an organ by Adrien Maciet that fill the space with color and sound. These artworks were created specifically to enhance the spiritual experience of those who gather here.
The church is located at 68 Avenue du Maréchal-Foch in Saint-Cloud and welcomes visitors throughout the day. Its modern design ensures the space is easy to navigate and accessible for visitors with varying mobility needs.
The structure uses Norwegian pine beams imported from Scandinavia that carry the entire building. This unusual material gives the structure a historical connection to northern European craftsmanship traditions.
