Pic du Bonhomme, Alpine summit in Hautes-Alpes, France

The Pic du Bonhomme reaches an elevation of 2,663 meters and features rocky slopes typical of the French Alps mountain peaks.

The initial mountaineers began exploring this section of the Alps during the 19th century, gradually establishing routes to reach the summit.

Local shepherds have historically used the slopes of Pic du Bonhomme for grazing their flocks during the summer months.

Climbing the peak requires proper mountain equipment and typically takes place between June and September, depending on weather conditions.

The summit provides a complete 360-degree view of the surrounding valleys and enables observation of mountain ranges in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
