Serre de Jusclas

Serre de Jusclas is a mountain summit rising along the GR420 ridgeline, offering views across the valleys of the Ardèche region. The peak sits within the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park and features the distinctive terrain typical of this protected area.

The summit sits in a region with long settlement, with the nearby village of Chadenac featuring a Romanesque church from ancient times. This church of Saint Stephen shows that people have used and lived in this area for centuries.

Local people have long grown chestnuts on the slopes and maintained terraced fields that shape the landscape. You can still see these farming methods in action, showing how residents have adapted to the mountain terrain.

The route to the summit is a well-marked hiking trail with moderate terrain and longer climbs to manage. Bring water and sturdy shoes since the path crosses rocky ground and some steep sections.
