Klinac Castle

Klinac Castle is a stone fortification in Petrinja with partially standing walls and towers that reveal a Renaissance-period design. The site contains the structural remains of a defensive complex built to command the surrounding landscape.

The castle was built in the middle of the 16th century as a defensive structure for the region and remained in use for decades. It was eventually abandoned and gradually deteriorated into the ruin visible today.

The ruins show how people built fortifications in this region during the Renaissance and what materials they used in construction. Walking through the site, you can observe the layout and understand how such places functioned for the community.
