Har Kdumim, Archaeological site southwest of Nazareth, Israel

Mount Precipice rises to 395 meters above sea level, presenting a steep cliff face that overlooks the Jezreel Valley and Mount Tabor.

Excavations in Qafzeh Cave at Mount Precipice uncovered thirteen Neanderthal skeletons and evidence of burial practices dating back 100,000 years.

According to the Gospel of Luke, this location marks the site where residents of Nazareth attempted to push Jesus from the cliff after his proclamation.

The mountain features marked trails, a visitor center, and an outdoor amphitheater that accommodates 4,000 people for various events.

In 2009, Pope Benedict XVI conducted a mass on the western slopes of Mount Precipice, drawing a gathering of 40,000 attendees.
