The Garden Library, Community library in Neve Sha'anan, Tel Aviv, Israel
The Garden Library features two outdoor bookcases against public shelter walls, holding 3500 books in multiple languages for neighborhood residents.
Established in 2009 by ARTEAM and Mesila organizations, this library began as a resource for migrant communities in south Tel Aviv.
The library collection includes books in sixteen languages, including Mandarin, Tigrigna, Amharic, Thai, Tagalog, Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish, and English.
Located in Levinsky Park near Tel Aviv central bus station, the library offers computer repair classes, language instruction, and small business management courses.
The library implemented a cataloging system where books changed positions based on readers' emotional responses during the first three operating years.
