Sonol Tower, Modern skyscraper in central Tel Aviv, Israel
Sonol Tower is a modern office building in central Tel Aviv featuring an elliptical glass facade that rises 25 stories. The upper section of the building features a distinctive angular cut facing westward, creating a recognizable profile against the skyline.
The building was designed by Moore Yaski Sivan Architects and opened in 2004 as part of Tel Aviv's modernization wave. This period marked a shift toward contemporary office architecture in the city's growing business district.
The tower represents the modern office buildings that have defined Tel Aviv's skyline in recent decades. At ground level, an operational gas station keeps the base of the structure active and functional.
The building is located on a major thoroughfare and is easily accessible by public transportation. Access to the interior is limited to those with business appointments, as it remains a private office structure.
The narrow building lot led architects to create an elongated elliptical shape that appears narrower from some angles than others. The indented curtain walls were deliberately designed to direct more sunlight into the interior spaces despite the tight site constraints.
