Chandragiri Fort, Hilltop fort in Chandragiri, Andhra Pradesh, India

The fortification includes two palaces, Raja Mahal and Rani Mahal, constructed with eight-sided pillars and arched windows in Indo-Saracenic style.

Built by Yadavas in the 11th century, the fort served as the fourth capital of Vijayanagara Empire after Penukonda faced attacks from Golconda sultans.

The Raja Mahal palace within the fort operates as an archaeological museum, displaying artifacts and exhibits about the Vijayanagara period.

The fort remains open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with guided tours available in multiple languages at the entrance ticket counter.

The fort marks the location where the British East India Company signed the agreement for Fort Saint George land in August 1639.
