Srirangapatna Gumbaz, Mausoleum in India
The Gumbaz at Srirangapatna is a mausoleum holding the graves of Tippu Sultan, as well as his father Haidar Ali and mother Fatima Begum.
Built by Tipu Sultan during his reign between 1782-1799 as a tribute to his illustrious father Hyder Ali.
This Islamic architecture features beautifully carved stone windows with an ebony door decorated with ivory on the inside.
Located in Mandya District, the Gumbaz is easily accessible by road from Bangalore or Mysore.
