Franziskanerkloster Pupping

The Franciscan monastery in Pupping is a monastery complex with a branch church of St. Wolfgang that serves the parish of Hartkirchen. The site sits in the Eferdinger Land region of Upper Austria and includes several buildings arranged around an inner courtyard.

The monastery was founded in 1477 by the Counts of Schaunberg, building on an earlier chapel dedicated to St. Othmar of St. Gall that dated to 866. This long history shows how the site endured for centuries as a place of faith and community.
