Prince Ludwig August von Sachsen-Coburg ordered the construction of this hunting lodge in 1884, which the city of Schladming purchased in 1940 for municipal purposes.
The hunting room on the ground floor maintains its original decoration with paintings by Otto Recknagel, representing the building's connection to aristocratic hunting traditions.
The building houses administrative offices, a public library on the third floor of the tower, and serves as the central governmental facility for Schladming residents.
A relief of the Brazilian imperial crown adorns the second-floor staircase, reflecting the building's connection to the Brazilian branch of Sachsen-Coburg dynasty.
