Sint-Antoniuskerk, Gothic Revival church in central Antwerp, Belgium
The Sint-Antoniuskerk features a 78-meter tower, brown-red brick construction, and consists of a central nave with two side aisles.
Built between 1906 and 1910 by architects Jan-Lodewijk Baeckelmans and Jules Bilmeyer, this church replaced a former Capuchin church from 1613.
The interior houses a notable Peter Paul Rubens painting depicting Saint Francis receiving the Jesus Child from the Virgin Mary.
The church maintains regular religious services and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural features and historical elements throughout the week.
The structure incorporates historical anchors from the previous church and includes a garden wall that marks the location of the former Capuchin monastery.
