La Fonderie occupies a former foundry building, displaying machines, tools, and equipment that demonstrate the evolution of manufacturing processes in Brussels.
The museum opened in 1983 on the grounds of Compagnie des Bronzes de Bruxelles, which operated as a metal manufacturing facility from 1854 to 1979.
The exhibition spaces present four industrial sectors through bilingual displays in French and Dutch, with additional English translations available for international visitors.
Located at 27 Rue Ransfort, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with free entry on the first Sunday of each month.
The permanent exhibition occupies the original lathe room spanning 300 square meters, preserving the authentic industrial environment of the former bronze manufacturing company.
