Stanislavovo Manor, Baroque manor house in Hrodna, Belarus.
Stanislavovo Manor is a rectangular baroque country house in Hrodna featuring a distinctive semi-circular bay window with decorative monogram at the top. Symmetrical side wings extend from the main structure, creating a balanced and formal appearance typical of 18th-century noble residences.
An Italian architect named Giuseppe de Sacco designed this residence between 1760 and 1770 as a country seat for Stanislaw August Poniatowski, the last king of Poland. In 1953, the property was repurposed to serve agricultural education, marking the beginning of its transformation from royal home to public institution.
The manor reflects the architectural taste of 18th-century Eastern European nobility and how they chose to display their status and wealth. Walking through the property, you can see how the design was meant to impress and demonstrate the owner's position in society.
The manor sits on Timiryazeva Street in Hrodna and now serves as part of Grodno State Agrarian University. You can view the exterior and surrounding grounds easily, though interior access depends on university operations and may be limited for visitors.
Rather than becoming a museum, this property continues to function as an active part of a working university, maintaining its role as a center of learning and activity. This practical continuation of purpose sets it apart from many preserved estates that serve only historical display.
