Minsk Cathedral Mosque, Islamic religious center in Tsentralny District, Minsk, Belarus.
The Minsk Cathedral Mosque features a main prayer hall with capacity for 1,500 people and includes an Islamic museum established in December 2019.
The structure replaced a previous mosque destroyed in 1962, with construction of the current building starting in 2004 and reaching completion in June 2016.
The mosque functions as the principal center for Islamic practices in Belarus, offering spaces for prayer gatherings and educational activities about Islamic traditions.
Located at Ulitsa Griboyedova 29, the mosque remains open 24 hours daily and stands within walking distance from Maladzyozhnaya Metro Station.
The architectural design breaks traditional mosque patterns by positioning the entrance on the side of the mihrab, making it an exception in Islamic religious architecture.
