Parc Chauveau is the largest green space in Québec City, stretching beside the Saint-Charles River with wide trails, wooded zones, and open lawns. Its paths lead past small bridges, picnic tables, a wooden soccer stadium, and several entry points, giving the whole area a calm, expansive feel.
The land became a municipal park as the surrounding Rivières neighborhood grew, turning former riverside ground into a public recreation area. Over time, the city added trails, sports fields, and a bridge over the Saint-Charles River, slowly shaping it into the broad green space used today.

High up in the trees, an adventure course lets you move between wooden platforms and finish with zip lines that cross above the water. Below those same branches, shallow sandy edges appear along the river in summer, giving swimmers a spot that many first-time visitors do not expect in the middle of the city.
