CFB Picton is a former air force base spread across 70 acres (28 hectares) in Ontario with more than 40 preserved buildings. It now features galleries, retail shops, maker studios, and various business spaces housed in the converted military structures.
The Royal Air Force established a flying school here in 1941 as part of the British Commonwealth air training program. The base served to train pilots and gunners from Canada and Britain and remained in operation through the post-war years.
The site served as a key training hub during World War II, shaping the region's military heritage in lasting ways. The preserved buildings today create a place where this history becomes tangible to visitors.
