Windsor Arms Apartments

Windsor Arms Apartments is a five-story residential building containing 42 units and displaying Art Deco design throughout its structure. The building features stained glass windows, terrazzo floors with marble inlays, and an ornate entrance portico, while interiors showcase nine-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and deep moldings in each unit.

Architect Cecil Burgess designed the building in 1930, creating one of the most ambitious residential structures of its era in Ottawa. The project incorporated modern conveniences of the time and reflected confidence in economic stability during that period.

The name Windsor Arms evokes royal elegance and reflected the building's status as a symbol of prosperity in 1930s Ottawa.
