Bruce's Mill is a protected area covering more than 100 hectares with wetlands, deciduous forests, coniferous woods, and mixed woodland sections spread across the property. The site features hiking trails, recreational facilities, and a BMX track for visitors of different interests.
The conservation area was established in 1961 when a regional authority purchased over 50 hectares to protect the land. Existing buildings and roads from earlier use were incorporated into the newly protected property.
