Complexe Jules Dallaire, Mixed-use towers on Boulevard Laurier, Canada
The Complexe Jules Dallaire is a pair of glass-clad towers in the Sainte-Foy-Sillery-Cap-Rouge district of Quebec City. The shorter tower reaches about 75 meters and the taller one about 120 meters, together housing apartments, offices, retail spaces, and dining venues across their floors.
A motel occupied the site until 2007, when the Cominar Group bought the land and began construction the following year. Within a few years, the site went from a small roadside accommodation to one of the most recognizable office and residential towers in Quebec City.
The complex sits in the modern business district of Sainte-Foy, where offices, restaurants, and shops draw workers and residents throughout the day. The mix of uses under one roof reflects how many people in Quebec City organize their daily routines today.
The complex has several underground parking levels and a large number of elevators, making it easy to move around regardless of which floor you need. Visitors arriving on foot can access the shops and restaurants on the ground level directly without needing to navigate the upper floors.
The complex received LEED Gold certification, a recognition for environmentally responsible construction that remains relatively rare among high-rise buildings of this scale in Quebec City. Its blue-tinted glass facades with white and metallic accents make it recognizable from a long distance across the surrounding area.
