Bâtiment 7 spans 90,000 square feet and contains multiple spaces including workshops, a grocery store, a microbrewery, and event venues for local initiatives.

The structure, built between 1924 and 1946 by Canadian National Railway, transformed into a community space in 2018 after residents secured ownership through prolonged activism.

Press Start cooperative within the building coordinates public lectures and debates specifically designed for Montreal youth between ages 14 and 21.

Le Détour, a volunteer-operated grocery store inside the building, provides affordable food options in an area previously lacking accessible grocery services.

Sans-Taverne, the resident beer cooperative, produces and distributes its products to more than 100 locations across Montreal from their facility in Bâtiment 7.
