Kunst Museum Winterthur

The Kunst Museum Winterthur holds three separate buildings featuring extensive collections of European art from the 17th century to contemporary works.

The institution began in 1916 as Switzerland's first private museum, expanding through significant contributions from collectors including Oskar Reinhart and the Hahnloser-Bühler family.

The museum houses notable works by Dutch masters, German Romantics, and Impressionists, including paintings by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Monet, and Cézanne.

Visitors can access all three museum locations with one ticket, priced at 19 Swiss Francs, during opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday.

The collection features one of Europe's largest assemblages of Fernand Léger works alongside substantial holdings of Swiss, German, and Austrian art.
