Binntal Landscape Park

Binntal Landscape Park is a protected area in Upper Valais encompassing four mountain villages with varied terrain throughout the valley. The region displays alpine meadows, dense forests, and mountain slopes distributed across the landscape.

The area received official protection in 1964 through local community efforts and was designated a regional nature park in 2012. This progression shows how residents worked to safeguard their homeland.

The village of Ernen inside the park becomes a classical music center during summer months, hosting concerts and attracting international musicians. The performances shape the cultural life of the region and draw visitors looking to combine music with mountain surroundings.
