The Parsenn funicular operates in two independent sections, connecting Davos town with Weissfluhjoch ridge through an interchange station at Höhenweg.

The funicular started operations on December 17, 1931, marking a turning point for winter sports accessibility in the Davos Parsenn region.

The funicular serves as a gateway to the Parsenn ski area, where the Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research conducts studies at Weissfluhjoch.

The lower section accommodates 200 passengers with a 4-minute journey time, while the upper section carries 170 passengers in 10 minutes.

At 2,665 meters elevation, this transport system stands as Switzerland's highest open-air funicular, featuring a track length of 4,048 meters.
