Former Grand Garage du Jura

The Grand Garage du Jura features a curved facade with a semi-circular staircase tower and large windows distributed across multiple floors of the structure.

Constructed in 1929 by architect Eduard Schmid, this facility became the main representative for Ford vehicles in the Biel-Seeland and Berner Jura regions by 1931.

The structure demonstrates the architectural style of Bieler Moderne and received protection status in 2003 through the inventory of buildings of Canton Bern.

The building contains four residential units, a workshop area, exhibition spaces on the ground floor, and offices distributed throughout the different levels.

The rooftop includes a garden terrace offering views over Biel, combining commercial functionality with residential comfort in an early 20th-century automotive facility.
