Dushujian

Dushujian is a mountain summit in the Wuyi range characterized by steep rocky outcrops and dense subtropical forest cover. The peak stands as one of several dramatic elevations within this mountainous landscape, with natural rock formations creating varied terrain throughout the area.

The mountain area contains archaeological remains from the ancient State of Yue, indicating early human settlements in southeastern China. These traces demonstrate how humans inhabited this mountainous region throughout ancient times.

The peak forms part of the Wuyi Mountains UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for both its natural features and connection to traditional Chinese practices.

Plan hikes during spring or autumn when temperatures stay moderate and visibility across the surrounding ranges improves. Sturdy footwear is essential due to steep terrain and rocky paths that require careful footing.

From the summit, you can see the region where the original Da Hong Pao tea plants grow, among the world's most expensive tea varieties. This rare tea is closely tied to the specific mountain environment of this location.
